My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Lia Conrad survived a bad accident where three of her friends died. When she learned she was the soul survivor, she dedicated herself to church. Nigel Braxton is an aspiring producer living on the West Coast. His aunt Rita attends church with Lia. During his visit, Rita introduced him and Lia. They grew fond of each other and kept in touch when his visit ended. Is this a relationship that can survive the distance?
This was my second read by Alicia Hill Jones. I enjoyed it a great deal. Jones demonstrated how Christians also have battles to fight. Lia's journey was inspirational. She made some bad decisions but fought to come back. Appearances can be deceiving. The book flowed well and drew me in from the beginning. If you enjoy reading a book that doesn't get all preachy, this is the book for you.
