Misconceptions by C. Hayes

Gabrielle Payne grew up witnessing her parents abusive relationship. They eventually divorced but Gabby began acting out and getting into trouble. After graduating from high school, she decided to move in with her father. Even though he was strict, she still managed to get into mischief behind his back. Gabby was a hood chick looking for love in all the wrong places.

Gabby met a guy by the name of Tre Johnson at a local seafood restaurant. He was a general manager of a local mortgage company. He was six years older, single and didn't have any kids so they began dating. Where will this relationship go?

Misconceptions is a quick read about a young girl finding love, or what she thought was love. Gabby was on the rebellious side. You'll experience her ups and downs. Your emotions will range from anger to joy. Gabby is a female we all know or have been.

I gave Misconceptions three stars because of a few grammatical errors that pulled my attention away from the storyline. Even though a few areas felt a little rushed to me, the book was good overall.
